One screen to get past

Google is about to call this app unverified. Here's what to click.

I'd rather you saw this here than be surprised by it in a Google popup. Four steps, about two minutes.

  1. Press the button below and choose the Google account you use for YouTube Studio. It has to be that one, or the analytics won't be there.
  2. Google shows a screen saying “Google hasn't verified this app.” Press Advanced at the bottom left, then press Go to YouR (unsafe) in the line that appears. That's Google's standard wording for every app still in review. It isn't a warning about something they found.
    this is the screen ↓
    these two, in this order
  3. Tick the read-only permission and press Continue. That's the last thing you have to do.
  4. Your report reaches your email in 4–5 working days, and my access expires by itself 14 days after that, so you don't have to remember to remove anything.

Ready when you are.

Make sure you're signed into the Google account that owns the channel, then press connect.

Still unsure? Email me first: priya.katiyar9@gmail.com. I answer these myself, usually the same day.

thanks for trusting me with this

Why isn't it verified yet?

Google's review takes four to six weeks, and YouR is in that queue now. Google lets apps test with a small group of users while they wait, and that's exactly what this is. Once the review clears, the warning screen disappears for everyone.

I'd rather be honest about where I am than sit in silence for six weeks and email you later.

What connecting actually gives me

The permission you're about to tick is read-only, which means the list on the right isn't a promise, it's simply not possible.

I can read

  • Your YouTube Analytics: views, watch time, retention, traffic sources, subscriber changes
  • The public comments on your videos
  • Your video transcripts and titles

I can't

  • Upload, edit, delete or hide anything on your channel
  • Reply to comments or message anyone as you
  • Touch your Gmail, Drive, Photos or any other Google service
  • Share your data with anyone, or sell it, ever

My access expires on its own after 14 days, so you don't have to do anything. Want it gone sooner? Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps → remove YouR. Ten seconds, and you keep the report either way.
